At a young age, inspired by my fascination with the sciences, philosophy, medicine, psychology, and the natural world around me, I knew then that I wanted to become a doctor. Initially on a Pre-Med education track into college, different life directions evolved over the years. One thread that always remained constant, however, was my passion for understanding and exploring the underlying elements and dynamics of medicine, healing modalities, the holistic sciences, human nature, quantum physics, spirituality, the Universe, and Western, Eastern and Energy Medicines. Divergent paths would lead me through more life experience and education, achieving a degree in Clinical Psychology and years working in the mental health field, then starting and running a small business. I’m grateful to say, I found my way back to my childhood calling, to this wonderful profession I love, and to be of service to help my clients realize life balance and their true potential.
I received my MTOM/Acupuncture degree with honors from Emperor's College, one of the most prestigious and well respected Acupuncture and East Asian medicine colleges in the country. Following with more years of study, I earned my Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) from Emperor's College, with a specialization in Men's Health, Andrology and Male Fertility. The subject of my Doctoral Capstone/clinical research project was on the efficacy of Western and Traditional Medicine in the treatment of male factor infertility.
Dr. Bruce Gustafson, DAOM, is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine in the State of California as well as having National Certification as a full Diplomate of Oriental Medicine from the NCCAOM, the National Certification Agency.
